The participation of the Embassy in "the National Costume Day" festival, Baku, 2026

The Embassy of Algeria in Azerbaijan participated on 19 September 2026 in the National Costume Day festival held at the Palace of the Shirvanshahs Complex in Icherisheher, Baku, alongside a number of diplomatic missions accredited to Azerbaijan.

Algeria’s participation provided an opportunity to showcase to the Azerbaijani public the richness and diversity of Algeria’s cultural heritage through a presentation of traditional costumes reflecting the country’s deeply rooted traditions and the distinctive cultural expressions of its different regions.

The event also offered an opportunity to promote Algeria’s cultural heritage in Azerbaijan and to highlight traditional attire as an important expression of national identity, craftsmanship and heritage passed down through generations.

Through its participation, the Embassy contributed to fostering cultural exchange and mutual understanding, while further strengthening the bonds of friendship and cultural ties between Algeria and Azerbaijan.
