National Emigration Day October 17, 1961–2026

On October 17, 2026, the Embassy of Algeria in Azerbaijan commemorated National Emigration Day, marking the 65th anniversary of the demonstrations of October 17, 1961, under the theme:
« From the Depths of Memory to the Horizons of the Future. »
On this solemn national occasion, which symbolizes the unwavering solidarity of the Algerian community abroad with the glorious Algerian Liberation Revolution, a ceremony of remembrance and tribute was held at the Embassy to honor the memory of the martyrs of the October 17, 1961 massacres in Paris.
